This test can be taken by anyone who is either asymptomatic or may be showing COVID-19 symptoms. It’s important to get a COVID-19 test as soon as possible, if you are experiencing any symptoms. Some people cannot have a vaccination for medical reasons, so they depend on those of us who can get vaccinated to do so. This limits the spread of the virus and helps keep them safe. This is what we call community immunity.
All Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people 12 years and over can book a vaccine. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are a priority group for the COVID-19 vaccination rollout. Talk to your local healthcare worker or call your local Aboriginal Community Controlled Health (ACCHO) Service to make an appointment.
